BiographyA horse and history nut, Nancy Bowker is an equestrian writer whose books include: John Rarey: Horse Tamer, published in London; New Horse Handbook; and The Wild Horse: An Adopter’s Manual, co-authored with Barbara Eustis Cross. Freelance articles have appeared in Horse Illustrated, Horse and Rider, and Western Horseman. Her background includes working at racing stables, a horse and carriage wedding service and volunteering with a therapeutic riding program. She lives on a New Jersey farm with husband Russ, lovely daughter Jess, two courageous horses, and several sweet dogs and cats. She’s a member of the Author’s Guild, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Hooved Animal Humane Society, Civil War Preservation Trust, and the General Meade Society of Philadelphia. |
